Infinite Vibrations
Elizabeth Paige Smith Art Triangle Mirrors
INFINITE VIBRATIONS I, II, III
INFINITE VIBRATIONS + A series of site specific interior installations, the mirror performs a transformative role in each space relative to spacial vortexes, light transmittance, refraction and reflection.
Smith creates a sculptural mirror series within the architectural setting that go beyond the image of self. Each mirror is suspended off the surface of the wall with custom hand formed brass hangars with a continuous LED light strip.
Disinterested in perfect reflection of self, this series has a hand applied patina and the purposeful imperfections tone down and creates a more harmonious transition in the room.
"I’m not a fan of mirrors, I’ve lived years without them. When I introduced them into this architectural setting, I wanted to generate infinite spatial experiences."
"I designed the mirrors to be suspended like jewels in space, the hand-formed brass claws support the weight of the extra thick glass. I engineered them for performance as well as for their beautifully hand-made quality."
